View of the Vlissingen quayside with the Belgian Pilotage Service and Arsenaal Tower
Aerial photograph of the waterfront line of Vlissingen near the Koopmanshaven. From the Western Scheldt the raised sea dyke and the wide promenade of Boulevard de Ruyter are visible. On the quay stand the white building of the Belgian Pilotage Service and various residential complexes. To the right the distinctive Arsenaal Tower rises above the roofs. The sunny day with a deep blue sky and light cumulus clouds offers a clear view of the historic and modern coastal architecture of this Zeeland port city. The Arsenaal was unfortunately closed to the public in 2021.
