About DroneStock

What is DroneStock?+

DroneStock is a platform with professional drone photos and drone videos of the Netherlands. Companies, organisations and marketers can buy high-quality aerial imagery and download it immediately for commercial use, such as websites, marketing, presentations, real estate and area communication.

Who is DroneStock intended for?+

DroneStock is intended for companies, organisations and professionals who need high-quality drone imagery for marketing, websites, presentations or promotion. Think of marketers, web designers, real estate companies, municipalities, newsrooms and marketing agencies.

Can I use DroneStock without an account?+

Yes. You can browse the collection without an account. For purchases, downloads and license certificates we use your account so your files and administration can be found and managed.

Are new drone images added regularly?+

Yes. We continuously expand the collection with new drone photos and drone videos of locations in the Netherlands. If you need a specific location that is not yet available, you can contact us so we can see if we can add it.

Collection and locations

Can I view previews before I buy?+

Yes. All photos and videos have a preview in lower resolution or with a watermark. This allows you to assess composition, location, quality and usability before making a purchase.

Are the drone images exclusive or can others buy them too?+

The images on DroneStock are by default non-exclusive. Multiple customers can purchase and use the same photo or video in accordance with the license terms. If you need exclusive imagery of a specific location, you can request a bespoke assignment.

What if I cannot find a specific location?+

Contact us with the desired location, the type of drone image and any requirements. We will check whether we can add existing material, prioritise a location or provide custom work.

Can I have exclusive bespoke drone imagery produced?+

Yes. If you need specific drone imagery that is not in the stock collection, we can provide custom production via our drone production company BumbleB.nu. Contact us and we will discuss the possibilities.

Purchasing and payment

How does buying drone imagery work?+

Browse the collection, view the preview, add the desired photos or videos to your cart and complete payment securely. After payment your downloads and purchase details will be available in your account.

Which payment methods do you accept?+

DroneStock supports secure online payment. After payment you can download your purchased files and you will receive purchase information by e-mail or via your account.

Do I receive an invoice after purchase?+

Yes. Purchase records are saved after every purchase. Your purchase and license certificate are available in your account under My purchases.

What is the return policy?+

Because this concerns digital content, a purchase cannot generally be returned after delivery. As a consumer you agree before payment to immediate delivery and to the loss of the right of withdrawal once the files are made available. Therefore, check the preview carefully beforehand. If there is a technical problem with a download or file, we will of course help find a solution.

Prices and licenses

How much does a single video or photo cost?+

Standard prices are managed in DroneStock V2. On the homepage under Prices you can see the current base prices and volume discounts for standard-priced photos and videos.

How does volume discount work?+

When you add multiple standard-priced photos or videos to your cart, DroneStock automatically applies the correct tier price. Premium content and manually priced assets are excluded from this discount.

Are prices shown including VAT?+

Prices on DroneStock are displayed excluding VAT. For Dutch customers 21% VAT is added at checkout. For business customers within the EU with a valid VAT number reverse charge may apply.

What license do I receive with a purchase?+

You receive a worldwide, non-exclusive and perpetual DroneStock license for commercial use. You may use the images, among other things, for websites, social media, advertisements, videos, presentations and marketing. The individual file may not be resold, sublicensed or offered again as stock material.

May I use the images without limits after purchase?+

Yes. After purchase you may use the image within your own projects or organisation without an expiry date. The file itself may not be resold, shared as a standalone file, or otherwise made available to third parties.

Downloading and quality

When can I download my files?+

After a completed payment you can download the original master files via My purchases. The download link is created securely.

Can I download files multiple times?+

Purchased files are normally available via My purchases and can be re-downloaded there as long as that functionality remains available. We recommend you also keep your purchased files safely stored yourself.

What quality are the images delivered in?+

Photos and videos are delivered in high resolution. Videos are provided as professional video files and photos as high-resolution imagery suitable for marketing, websites, presentations and publications.

Are the previews the same as the download file?+

No. Previews are intentionally watermarked and optimised for quick viewing. After purchase you download the original master file.

Were the drone images recorded legally?+

Creators are responsible for the lawful capture of their images and declare at upload that they have complied with applicable rules. As a buyer you may commercially use the images under the DroneStock license. DroneStock reviews uploads for quality and potential risks, but cannot verify every individual drone flight.

Use of images

May I use the images for commercial purposes?+

Yes. As an agency, marketer, video producer or other service provider you may incorporate DroneStock images into projects you create for your clients. The original source file may not, however, be handed over to the client as a standalone file, resold or relicensed.

May I use the drone images for my clients' projects?+

Yes. You may use the images for client projects such as websites, marketing campaigns, presentations or promotional materials. The images may not be provided to clients as standalone files or resold.

May I modify and edit the images?+

Yes. You may crop images, apply color corrections, add text or logos and edit video footage for your final product. The original file may not be offered again as stock material.

Do I have to credit the creator when using the images?+

No. Attribution is not required unless explicitly agreed otherwise in a specific bespoke agreement.

May I use the images in a logo, template, stock collection or AI dataset?+

No. The images may not be used as a logo, trademark, template, stock collection, AI dataset or any other system in which the original file is made available again to third parties.

May I use DroneStock images for AI, datasets, mapping or digital twins?+

Not without prior written permission from DroneStock. Use for, among other things, AI training, computer vision, datasets, mapping and digital twins is not covered by the standard license.

Creators

Can I upload drone images myself?+

Yes. As a creator you can upload images via the creator dashboard. DroneStock processes previews, metadata and review before content is published.

What is an SRT file and where do I find it on DJI?+

An SRT file is a small text file with flight and recording data such as GPS location, altitude, speed, date and time. DroneStock uses this data to recognise metadata in your video. On many DJI drones the SRT file is on the same microSD card and in the same folder as the video, usually with exactly the same filename: for example DJI_0001.MP4 and DJI_0001.SRT. Don't see an SRT file? Check in the DJI app whether video caption/Video Caption is enabled for future recordings. You can also upload a video without an SRT; in that case fill in the location data yourself as completely as possible.

What Creator plans are available?+

DroneStock has three Creator plans: - Free: free. You receive €20 per sold video and €5 per sold photo, excluding any VAT that may be due. - Pro: €49 per month incl. VAT. You receive 75% of the actual sale price excluding VAT. - Premium: €99 per month incl. VAT. You receive 90% of the actual sale price excluding VAT. Any buyer discounts or tiered prices are taken into account in the final sale price on which your compensation is calculated.

Can I change or cancel my Creator subscription?+

Yes. Paid Creator plans can be cancelled monthly. Your current plan remains active until the end of the paid period. An upgrade can take effect immediately; a downgrade takes effect at the latest from the next subscription period.

Do I need a company to become a creator?+

No. Both private individuals and business creators can register. Your tax status determines how any VAT and self-billing are processed with your payouts.

Why do I have to fill in my payout and tax profile?+

These details are required to process your payouts correctly, record your tax status and, where necessary, draw up self-billing invoices. After the initial setup these details remain available via your settings.

How do I earn as a creator from a sale?+

Your compensation depends on your active Creator plan. With Free you receive a fixed amount per sale. With Pro and Premium you receive a percentage of the actual sale price excluding VAT and after any applied discounts. Your sales and compensations are visible in your dashboard.

How does VAT work with my payouts?+

If you are VAT-liable and must account for VAT on your creator fee, that VAT will be processed on the self-billing invoice. If you are not VAT-liable or are not allowed to charge VAT, no VAT will be added.

Why has a sale not yet been paid out?+

A sale becomes payable after a waiting period of 14 days, provided it is final and no correction or block applies. Approved creator compensations are then processed on the scheduled payout day.

Why can my upload be rejected?+

Every upload is assessed on technical quality, metadata, commercial usability and compliance with our guidelines. Images that do not meet these requirements may be rejected.

What is my public creator collection and where do I find the link?+

Every creator can have their own public collection page containing only that creator's approved images. Buyers can browse your collection via this page. You can find the link in your creator dashboard under Profile and settings.

Are my images published automatically?+

No. Uploads first go through processing and review. After approval they are published.

Can I change price or metadata later?+

Sale prices are determined centrally by DroneStock. If you see an error in title, location or other metadata, you can submit a correction. DroneStock can adjust product information when necessary.

Why does nothing happen after I select videos on my iPhone?+

Your iPhone may need to download and prepare the selected videos from iCloud before DroneStock can receive them. For large files this can take several minutes and sometimes shows no clear progress. Use stable Wi‑Fi, select one video first and keep the screen open after confirming the selection. If it still stalls, open the video first in the Photos app and wait until it can be played. Then try the selection again, directly in Safari rather than in an embedded browser (for example from Facebook or LinkedIn). If that still does not work, try a laptop. iCloud is a possible cause; DroneStock cannot see whether your iPhone is still preparing files.
