Agathepark in Krommenie is a park-like island that is connected to the village by a footbridge and is accessible by small boat along waterways. On the spacious lawn there are play equipment, a small sandy beach and a sports field.
Background information
The park was laid out and opened in 1931 after a donation by Agathe Cornelia Kaars Sypesteyn. It is managed by the Stichting Vrienden van het Agathepark in cooperation with the municipality of Zaanstad.
