Plan Willis in Krommenie, in the municipality of Zaanstad, is a spacious newly built residential area with low-rise buildings and terraced houses along open waterways. Along parts of the neighbourhood there are quays and jetties where small pleasure boats can moor.
Background information
The neighbourhood was developed from the mid-1990s on former landfill and meadowland; the old garbage dump was redeveloped into a recreational hill called 'De Berg'.
