A lit fountain by painted blue waves on a roundabout in Arnhem, with traffic on the ring road and city buildings in the background, including the Grote of Sint Eusebiuskerk. The fountain operates computer-controlled without energy loss on an energy-efficient pump installation. In too strong wind the fountain is automatically lowered below the maximum spray height of 8 meters. The lighting consists of 55 programmable LED spots.

Artwork "Blue Waves" at Rijnkade in Arnhem
€ 19,50excl. VATThe artwork "Blue Waves" (1977) in Arnhem is a national monument and one of the most important environmental artworks of the 1970s in the Netherlands. The Roermondspleinbrug connected the city centre with the growing district Arnhem-Zuid. Artist Peter Struycken received in 1974 from the municipality of Arnhem the commission to shape the area "visually". He chose a waving cobblestone carpet with diagonal blue and white bands. On this site free parking was allowed. The location is exactly at the place where the old harbour used to be. Hence also the wave pattern.
